N1YRK: In answer to your first question, check out the following two web sites: www.qsl.net/tentec/ and www.oakland.edu/~prvalko/ . For the balance of your questions, call Ten Tec. Their number is on the factory's web site. - sherrill k4own

Hi everyone,
I've just joined the Ten-Tec world with my purchase of an Omni A Series B
(545b) rig. I've got a few questions for everyone:
1) I've heard about great tentec support, but I see nothing but new radio
ads on their web site. Is there some secret cache of info hidden
somewhere?
2) I need a power supply...anyone have to sell? 12vdc 18-20 amps
minimum.
3) for some odd reason the set-screws are missing from most of the
knobs. Someone tried to replace them with the wrong screws. I need either
new set screw or possibly new knobs...anyone have the source of these, or
the specs? (main tuning knob and bandswitch are okay)
4) The manual mentions dial-cord is available for $.25 from
TenTec. Is that still the case?
5) I'd like to add the new WARC bands. I see an AUX band selection and
also the manual mentions accessories for the new bands. What crystals are
needed, and is that accessory still available?
6) the band selector switch seems a bit stiff. Is this normal? The manraul
cautions against cleaning it with traditional tv-tuner type stuff. What
should I use?
7) The Omni A seems to be pretty rare. Is there a place for hints, tips,
etc. for owners of them? If there's no central place, I'd be glad to host
it on the ISP I own.
73,
N1YRK
