HI Bob,
It would really be great if you could get some friends
over to install at least four radials. I don't know much
about the Pro Am 30m whip, but looks to me like you
have the similarities of a vertical dipole, grounded on
one end. A tuner would make your radio happy, but
you will still have mismatch in the antenna system.
