Frank;

I believe the PS for the Omni VI puts out 13.8 (mine does anyway) and I have
not lost a bulb in the 8+ years I have had it. I have not looked at the
bulb ratings in it but if I were the designer I would use 14 volt bulbs in a
rig whose PS puts out 13.8 volts.

I love to trade rigs, and from time to time I get a Ten Tec rig with burned
out bulbs. In addition, I see people using a Ten Tec rig with "another"
power supply.
As the Ten Tecs all run at 12 volts, as opposed to 13.8 or higher volts, I
am curious IF there is a connection with burned out bulbs ( are Ten Tec's
rated at 12 volts? ) and using "other" supplies.
My Ten Tec Triton II (yes 2!) still has the original bulbs in it, but the
supply is the matching one, set at 12 volts or so.
