[TenTec] low mike audio - 556 scout

[Michael Goins]

Using a Heil Goldline with my 556 Scout and having to run the mike gain nearly
wide open. I don't know if this is usual - I do know that Heils are many dB
down by design to prevent extraneous pickup. As I operate at 1 watt, ssb adn
cw, I need more audio than this. Anyone with any experience with the Ten Tec
RF processor or maybe the W2IHY equalizer on ssb?
