Hi Lew,

Interesting that you mention that. When I first got my OMNI-6/OPT1 a few
months a go, I played with it for a couple of weeks and found the same
situation, then sent it to TT for factory alignment. My purpose was to
compare the OMNI-6 to my very comfortable TS-870.
When I got it back from TT it was a bit better but I still easily see the
characteristics you mention. I called TT and asked them about it directly (I
had also put a detailed letter in with the radio when I sent it) and they
told me about the filter characteristics, etc. I just think this is the way
they are. I've done the audio mod but kept the stock SSB filters. I still
prefer my TS-870 to the OMNI-6 on SSB but on CW they are both great. Waiting
for fall/winter condx for more side by side comparisons.

Just thought I'd let you know you're not crazy!

Subject: [TenTec] Passband/ Omni 6+

Hi guys- Im crazy about my Omni 6+. I did notice that the USB pitch and
bandwidth is not symetrical to the LSB. USB is tighter sounding on receive
and don't have quite the passband swing as lsb. It also dynamically sounds a
lil better on lsb. Is it a pb align. if, or carrier osc. ? I havent
checked it out internally yet. Anyone see or correct this on theirs?
Thanks
and 73s Lew K1NDV/ 80% cw !
