On the varying keyer speed thing.

I had that with mine and a fellow Omni6+ owner told me that
he learned from a tech at the TT factory to add a by pass cap
across the two leads coming from the speed pot at the board
end of the wire.  I installed a .01 or .1ufd and the problem
vanished.
