For our tuner at ground level the only benefit of pressure is by the
gauge to know when the enclosure has leaked. Otherwise a flushing with
dry air or nitrogen should be sufficient.

You forget that the tuner can't necessarily tune the antenna through
coax because of the obnoxious impedances found a quarter wave away in
coax from a high impedance antenna. Open wire line works better there
but can sacrifice freedom of routing and shielding.

Some tuners these days are made to be outside, and then there's some
benefit for placing them at the antenna and that allows them to have the
greatest versatility because the antenna wire impedance is always less
obnoxious than that seen at the other end of the coax.
