Bill:  When it comes to antenna theory, BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!  Also, HIGHER IS ALWAYS BETTER!  I suggest to make your loop as large as possible.  With an antenna tuner, it will probably work fine on 160 meters or any band.  - Corn- k4own.
