It is incorrect to think of an antenna tuner as only an r.f. transformer.  That is like saying the purpose of a cow is to create cow manure.   Cow manure may be a useful by-product of a cow, but that is not the basic purpose of a cow.  An antenna tuner may "transform" impediances but that is not all it accomplishes.- 73's- Corn -k4own.
