Hi Carl:
It's RF getting into it. My Jupiter would not transmit without shutting
down from RF. Other station said it sounded like I was stuttering or had a
bad PTT switch.
To make a long story short it went back to TT they could not find the
problem. Got it back and same thing. Called Service they said it was RF
getting into it and I would have to get rid of all RF in the shack, I told
them the antenna was mounted above the roof. The told me to move the ant.
away from the shack by at least 100 feet.
Bottom line I sent it back TT for credit, and my IC-718 at $600 out
performs the Jupiter with no RF problems with my Amp. running full bore.
And by the way I am a little ticked off about the power supply for the
Jupiter, it is nothing but a Astron SS30 with TT's sticker on it. The Astron
SS30 has a street price now of $119.95.
I will never purchase another TT produce.
