FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ten-Tec, Inc., of Sevierville, TN. is pleased to announce that Doug Smith,
KF6DX, will be joining the Ten-Tec engineering staff effective July 1, 2001.
Mr. Smith was previously employed by Kachina Communications of Cottonwood,
Arizona and was lead design engineer for the Kachina 505DSP
computer-controlled HF amateur radio transceiver.
Mr. Smith is also a respected technical author and editor. In addition to
his engineering duties he has published numerous technical articles on
subjects relevant to cutting-edge amateur radio technology, and serves as
editor for the American Radio Relay League's QEX magazine. He is also
chairman of the ARRL's Digital Voice Committee.
'The addition of Doug to our engineering team will certainly be an asset.
Our agenda for the future is to continue to offer innovative DSP-based
products for both our amateur radio and commercial product lines, and Doug
brings a great deal of experience to Ten-Tec to help us proceed toward our
goals. We're looking forward to having him with us', comments Ten-Tec VP
