[TenTec] INRAD 2.8's and RX Mod?

Mike;

I believe I have made virtually every mod to my Omni VI/3 that has been
discussed here such as the "birdies cleanup" mod, INRAD filter, INRAD RX
mod, etc., etc.

Hands down the most dramatic results (and I do mean DRAMATIC!) were from the
birdie reduction mod and the substitution of an INRAD 2.8 KHz filter. The
RX mod (1-cap, 1-resistor) made a slightly perceivable improvement in audio
fidelity (from a qualitative standpoint), however unlike the birdie mod I
don't have any quantitative data to share.

Subject: [TenTec] INRAD 2.8's and RX Mod?

Hello, all!

I've saved enough to purchase a pair of INRAD 2.8 SSB filters, but I'm
mulling it over and am looking for some feedback.

The INRAD $15 RX mod has not, as I recall, received much attention here.
Someone was going to post results but I don't think I ever saw it and the
discussion has eluded me in the archives.

My understanding is that the INRAD 2.8 SSB filters improve RX audio quality
without sacrificing selectivity. It is also my understanding that the INRAD
RX mod enhances this feature, but that the RX mod is pointless without the
INRAD filters being there to start with.

Am I interpreting previous discussions correctly? Does anyone have
feedback? I'd appreciate comments and/pr suggestions.

Thank you, in advance, for your input!
