[TenTec] Omni VI advise

Hi,
Recently acquired a VI from an estate sale and had a few questions.

*There is a "clicking" like static when in cw. Not the smooth/silent QSK 
that TT is famous for (and is flawless in my Argonaut 509) . Is this normal?
* I installed the 1st IF CW 500HZ filter and was wondering if  it would be 
better to buy the 500hz  for the 2nd IF or get a 250hz for the 1st IF? Not 
sure what "cascading" will do. Also, are INRADS better over the TT stock?
