[TenTec] Model 540

Hello all,

I just picked up a Model 540 at a local hamfest; I
take it that this is a Triton IV. It seems a bit
deaf, so I'll be working on that in the future. And
the calibrator seems to generate signals all over the
place, and not exactly where they are supposed to be.
But more on that when I get the chance to properly
open it up and diagnose.

What I'm asking about is the accessory that I recieved
with it--a Model 240, 160m convertor. The owners
manual for the radio doesn't mention how to use it,
and no info on this accessory came with the radio.
Can someone send me some info on this unit?
Eventually I'll get around to ordering something from
TenTec, and I'll probably order the manual on this guy
(if it exists), but in the meantime I wouldn't mind
some information on it from those in the know, like:

freq coverage
TX power (I think it transmits too)
the crystal freq's

Thanks!
