That was the somewhat laughable part, Corn. The OO in question was a brand
new Class A herself with, I suspect, little or no experience with phone
signals. Since I was unaware of any other problems, and no one had
mentioned any, I could only assume that she was misstating the problem,
whatever it was, that she observed.

I might mention that she is still active as far as I know and is one of the
Grand Old Ladies of the YL group: Helen Douglas, W5LGY. 

Again, I am certain that she meant well and was doing what she felt was her
"duty." And, again, I have nothing but respect for the majority of those
hams who take time to remind us of our shortcomings!
