To properly lubricate the control it must be done from the inside.  Most
often squirting from the outside will wash any dirt and lubricant into the
resistive part of the element and could cause more serious problems for the
future.

Ideally, Tentec should use a log taper pot for the volume control.  I seem
to believe that it is a linear taper pot.  Using the log taper will make the
lower volume settings much smoother.
