My Scout seems to like dynamic mikes. I typically use a Shure CM-14AE
"controlled magnetic reluctance" mike. It sounds a little better than 
the electret mikes, though the Ten Tec mobile mike works fine if you
don't crank up the mike gain too high (a good policy for any rig and
mike combination).
