[TenTec] 6plus audio

Hi all,

I just bought a used 6plus and I would like to hear from guys that have done
any mods to brighten up the receive audio. Mine sounds kinda restricted and
flat to my ears. Are the mods worth doing or does hiss and noise negate any
improvement?
    Another thing--are any of these things ever on frequency? This one had
just come from Ten Tec for repair and alignment and is off 50hz or so. It's
not that big a deal, just wondering.
