Fellow Ten-Tec owners:

If you want to read an outstanding example of how to turn an ordinary radio
into a winner see Rick Lindquist's review for the May issue of QST of the
IC-746PRO. It is posted on the ARRL's web site. Transmit two-tone IMD is
down only -25 dB and receive stats are middle of the road. Yet the
IC-746PRO gets a rave review, mainly for its DSP implementation, which does
not show up in the lab's stats but gives owners plenty to play with. If the
ham radio community (represented by ARRL) is so uncritically receptive of
new products that are no more than ordinary, I guess we get what we deserve.
