Recently I acquired a new ten tec 526 this is their 6 and 2 Meter radio
I also purchased the 937 power supply and the recommended desk mike .
The following are some problems I notified them apon when I sent it
back for some repairs:

? 146.910 is the MRC repeater in the Milwaukee, WI area
I receive 5 S units strong not only on 146.910 but also on 147.810,
148.340, and 148.940
In addition to which when receiving 146.910 a strong signal from out of
the ham bands (some sort of City of Milwaukee works department)
completely covers up my receive of 146.910 which has interrupted some of
my conversations.

? 145.130 is the MAARS repeater in the Milwaukee, WI area
I receive it full quieting on 150.120, 146.030 and 144.530
The City of Milwaukee Police Department comes in full quieting and quite
strong over 145.130

? 145.410 – On this frequency, I hear the City of Milwaukee Park Service

? 145.095 – On this frequency, I hear Police Radio Dispatching for the
City of Milwaukee

The Customer Service Representative I spoke with over the telephone
suggested that this may be a problem resulting from intermod, due to the
fact that I live in the center of downtown Milwaukee where there are
quite a few transmitters. He informed me that I should send my TEN-TEC
Model 526 in for customization of the receiver to prevent intermod. The
problem was occurring with a 5-element beam approx. 30 feet high as well
as with a quarter wave magnet mount on my air conditioner outside. I
have several HT’s that I attached to both antenna sources and I did not
experience these problems.
Recently the radio was returned to me and and I still have many of the
same problems listed above , to make matters a little bit worse
Something they have done has cause the continuously adjustable power
output on 2-Meters not function ,and the mike gain as well , last night
I was informed that my signal has several spurious emissions strong in
strength drifting up and down 2 Mhz
approximately below my desired transmit frequency , needles to say I
will be calling them Today to express My disappointment .
I was just wandering I f anyone else is using this radio successfully
,and If not what are their disappointing stories with the Ten-Tec model
