I have had my original Paragon since 1990 and also a real true (not an
upgrade) Omni VI+.  Both are killer radios but the Omni VI+ is better in the
receive department.

I use the Paragon for my AM receiver and use the low level output to drive
the oscillator circuit on my AM transmitter.  See my call on QRZ.COM.
That's me and my little AM transmitter.
