[TenTec] Quest. on Carl's software

I do not yet own a Jupitor or an Argonaut V but I did have an OMNI V using
Carl's modified chip. That V.9 mod was absolutely outstanding. What I'd like
to know now is if the software Carl makes for the Jupitor and the Argo
simply remote location software or does it allow you to give the rig greater
flexibility etc AFTER it's unhooked from a computor? I just don't know much
about it and had to ask - thanks folks.
