[TenTec] RE: first Orion interior shots

It's nice to see all of the wiring harnesses going everywhere have been 
greatly eliminated in favor of a buss arrangement. I suspect this will go a 
long ways towards ridding the Orion of some of the processor noise that has 
plagued the Omni 6, particularly on 10 meters. Especially with the buss in 
the middle of the unit and chassis shielded from both hemispheres of the rig.

The S meter with it's, "green backlight," is strangely reminiscent of my 
coveted Drake R4-C. ( I LIKES THAT ! ) In fact the color scheme is not far 
removed from the Drake C line. Bet someone was thinking about that at some 
point.

I just wonder if I will be able to find SMT packages 3 decades down the road 
that will be required to effect some future repair. I still keep the Drake 
stuff running and I bet it will be running after most of us aren't...
Then again, maybe we will all be in that big Ten Tec Factory in the sky by 
then. I am sure all Ten Tec fans and employees go to Heaven... Hell is far 
more particular as to whom they accept. Hi...
