So do I,   at least I have the Goldline I bought at Dayton in 2000.
It has Wide and Narrow setting for the switch.

Me too.  Also am using Carl's software to  operate the Pegasus,
RX-340 rig system.  BUT....I do not need any added mike gain.
In fact,  I must run the Mic Gain  slider on the Settings menu at
Number 1,  the very minimum.  Mic BW is set 100 to 3000 kHz.
Guys tell me this gives excellent and smooth audio.  I have no 
problem driving the Peg plus a linear up to full legal output this way.
Mike is attached directly to the front of the Peg box via the
Heil interface cord for the Ten Tec rig opion.

Why should my Mic gain be set so low??  Everyone else seems
to be fussing about too little output from the Heil while I seem to
have so much.  Odd.
