Vince,

I have a function key for VFO A. After tuning PBT, I would just hit the VFO
A key which would make the knob once again tune frequency.

I do not use the F1,F2 and F3 keys much as I prefer the number keys on the
right. If I want to enter a frequency, I just hit the "E" key first.

Another option you have for the F1 key is setting it to tuning selections.
This will toggle between all the main tuning functions. This will allow you
to do it all from one key but take more clicks between PBT and VFO.
