Remember one thing about the optional filters.  You will still have
sharp DSP filters with the standard filters.  The optionals will just help
the very close in dynamic range.  The standard filters are 6 khz, 2.4 khz,
and 1 khz.  With the standard filters, the close in dymnamic range will
be great up to 1 khz away.  If you add the optional 250 hertz filter,
what you are doing is improving the close in dynamic range  spread to 250
hertz.
I don't know what the untimate rejection will be for the DSP filters, but I
expect at least 60 db.  So, with no optional filters, as long as there is no
more than 60 db difference between two signals 100 hertz apart, you should
be able to separate them with no interference between them.  For signals
more than 1 khz apart, you should be able to separate signals that have more
than a 100 db difference (a guess on my part).
