I hear some grumbling about prices on here, both about the speaker and about
the price for the new QRP rig . . . I guess it's about "desire" as I heard
some of the guys going nuts over the new 100 watt Elecraft K2 option . . .
and they were lining up to order K2's at that booth . . . now keep this in
mind that I'm not taking anything away from the K2 in performace specs . . .
but it's UGLY.  People on this reflector are talking about black
cases/knobs/displays and people are flocking to the UGLY K2 and you know
what ? ? ? A K2 with all the options goes for $1600 plus shipping and then
you have to ( or get to, depending on your opinion) BUILD IT!

Also, for those of you who think $100 is too much for a speaker, remember
that Elecraft gets $59.00 for a matching EMPTY cabinet for their product
line.

And people will spend $150 for an (again) UGLY/Match Nothing  Clear Speech
Speaker?

You really want to put a Radio Shack speaker next to your
Orion/OmniVI/Jupiter ? ? ?

It boggles the mind . . .
