Hi All,
    My opinion, for all that is, or is NOT, worth is that I am one of
"those" who is much less concerned about the display as I am about the other
99.7835% of the ORION.  I am even less concerned about the display than the
color of the DOT. :-)
(sorry I could NOT resist THAT!)
    I like the better visibility that the Orion's display has in comparison
to the color displays.  I simply want a display that tells me what the radio
is doing.  The only color I need is the red transmit indicator.  If the
Orion meets or exceeds the specifications revealed so far I will be VERY
pleased.  I like color TFT displays and have them on my computers but
computers have much more to display!  I do not need to watch DVD's or
anything else - CLOUDS??????? - on my radio equipment.
    I can appreciate and understand the people who prefer the "better"
screen but I am one who will be perfectly satisfied with the screen as shown
in the current pictures.  Just to be on the "safe" side - I have engaged not
only the virus scanners but the flame retardant as well.  I do not mean to
offend anyone OR to put down the opinion(s) of others on (or off) this
reflector.  One thing we likely have in common is our desire to get an Orion
