Wrapping the line cord as many times as I could through a rectangular
ferrite core from Radio Shack resolved the problems my neighbor was having.
Put the ferrite as close to the set as you can get it.  On her stereo I also
put ferrite cores on external speaker leads, again close to the stereo.
