a perceived high demand for their product may have led them to believe they priced it too low - thus the two increases.
Nah...I'm sure Ten-Tec could have launched the product with an introductory price if they wanted to. Rewind to 1992. Recall that
the Scout's initial price was $495.00. Then, the price escalated to $549.00...then about $569.00 at the end of it's life cycle
(someone keep me honest here.)
Quite honestly, if I were in Scott's position, I doubt that I would offer an anticipated pre-release price and moreover, they're
probably having second-thoughts about pre-releasing a concept-product like the Orion, given the consternation and animosity that has
followed. It's THEIR company. Let them take ownership of their own successes and failures. If you're turned off by the price of
any piece of equipment, seek an alternative. That is what our free market system is all about.
