[TenTec] a buzz in my ten tec and yaesu -- WHYYYY???

Get a car battery and run your rig on it. Be sure the rig is connected to 
your antenna as usual. Then turn off the power to your entire house via 
the main breaker or pull the meter. If the noise goes away, something in 
your house is causing it. If it remains, call the power company.
