[TenTec] Omni D (546) problem

Hello all, I just acquired a new to me Omni D, model 546, at a swap 
meet. The receiver is great and it works FB on CW. When I go to SSB 
however it's another story. What happens is that no matter where I 
have the drive control set I am getting 100 watts out but for only a 
short time. THe power starts to fall off and the rig will no longer 
transmit until I turn it off and back on again. This is only on phone 
so I am thinking it is something on the SSB Generator board. Has 
anyone ever seen this before and can save me some trouble shooting 
time? 

I still have the Model 200 VFO for sale or trade..
