Shawn,
Absolutely! The old bugaboo of feedline effects to a TV just do not hold
water today with cable TV, higher IFs than 15m band, (the old TVs had the IF
at amateur band), and fewer stations at Ch 2, with 6m (potential) problems.
With the move of TV channels ever higher, soon there will be even less
chance of HF harmonics causing problems.
And the HF rigs should have fewer harmonics than in the days of simple
output networks, unshielded transmitter finals, and poor EMC practices in
rigs.
Most output stages today are at least a Pi L rather than single stage Pi,
or single parallel tuned tank. Most rigs today are run using an outboard
transmatch, (tuner), thus with even better matching to the line than the
"old" days. Possibly, more hams use low pass filters than past days as
well.
