Precisely, I don't think anyone was suggesting that TT
abandon CW, far from it. But instead offer more ways
to make use of the radio hardware that I do buy from
them. It should be me, the end user who makes more of
the peformance tradeoff decissions, not a gathering of
designers in a factory somewhere each trying to figure
out what what it is that I want my radio to do. As
long as the basic RF circuitry (including T/R
switching) is built rock soild and with top end
perfomance; it is then only a matter of software. I
continue to be puzzled why so many think that radios
have to be one specific way OR the other instead of
many?

The new generation TT radios are definitely heading in
the right direction, and have only just touched the
surface of what is already possible.
