Hi Bill,
    You are correct!  I WAS thinking in VHF terms rather than HF.  OOPS!  I
would not have made those statements, at least not that way, had I spent
more time thinking about what I was saying.  There IS a big difference in
polarization "up" on the VHF frequencies.
