[TenTec] After Orion...

I second the motion for an Omni VII - with the Orion's TX and main reciever, no sub receiver or band scope, conventional display, one TX/RX and one RX antenna connection, at a $2200 to $2500 price point.

I would also like to see the Jupiter sans band scope and with a memory tuner and conventional display packaged as a mobile rig at a $1095 to $1295 price point. You could call it a Mercury - or Hermes if you prefer.

And, while if wishes were horses beggars would ride, I would like to see an Orion II, based on the latest (faster with built on board instead of piggybacked memory) version of the Dragonball, incorporating a pair of the current Orion's main RX, plus dual antenna tuners with memories, plus built in bandpass filters at a price point somewhere below $6,000.

And a high power solid state amplifier to replace the Hercules II would be very nice.

However, Ten Tec has introduced two fine rigs, the Orion and the Argo V, plus a very good full bore amp in the Titan III, in the last year or so. Not to mention the innumerable firmware upgrades for the Argo, Jupe, and Orion.

That's a pretty good job of work for a firm that's somewhat smaller than General Motors. If the demand for current products allows another product release I suspect they will outdo themselves one way or another soon.

I'm really looking forward to the next product introduction from our friends in Sevierville.
