My Windows 98 machine was set to 9600, no prob with 3 updates.
 
I ran across this in the RF2 site,
The  Orion Programmer’s Reference Guide says: "Although the ORION interface operates at 57,600 baud short commands are used to keep the processing overhead to a minimum..."
