Have heard that the first impression was.... not
very great.  The demonstrators of the Orion (I
do not know who they were)  couldn't get the menu 
to  work and they had to reboot the rig several 
times. Was told the crowd watching began to heckle
then started laughing  about the situation and the
bungled attempts to demo the new rig.

I trust these were just "cockpit" errors by the inexperienced
demo operators.

After a time,  it seemed ok,  though the Orion was
evidently never connected to an antenna while
there.  But it was operating,  the menu was up and
available for browsing.  Date code of the installed
software  was 31 Jan. 2003.

Can anyone expand on these sketchy bits I have picked
up?
