According to one of Vibroplex' dealers, who is one of Mitch's personal 
friends as well as one of mine, the lady who assembled Vibroplex products was 
diagnosed with a very serious illness. I don't know the outcome but there 
have been complaints about the fit and finish recently. 

Vibroplex paddles and bugs are simple enough that most hams can straighten 
everything up without problems. And just like almost everywhere else, a 
polite complaint will usually get a prompt response - and  a profanity laced 
rant will get you hung up on.
