Scott, I am not familiar with this particular radio.  You can get some assistance by 1) calling Tentec and they will probably answer your questions or 2) posing it as a request on the Tentec reflector (tentec at contesting.com)

Mr. Edmonds,

   My name is Scott. I have recently bought a Ten-Tec 520 Triton II. I noticed it does not have the control socket on the back like the Triton IV. I would like to know what kind of accessories will work with my radio. I would like to use the # 242 remote VFO and maybe the #240 160meter converter. Can this unit be upgraded with cw filters? 

Any info on this unit would help. This is my first transceiver 

what are your feelings on this unit?
