(duh).

Vanilla straight-thru serial cable for rig control. 
You can homebrew a simple keying cable depending on
what ports are available on the laptop Doc - check
http://www.qsl.net/k0bx/cwkeying.htm (bottom of page)
for simple circuit to key off lpt1: if you have a
parallel port available.
