Bob,

I've used 3 different DSP filters over a period of time.
They are:

W9GR DSP II
Timewave DSP-9+
Timewave DSP-59+

Of these three, the W9GR was the worst (it's also the oldest).  Next came
the 9+, and then the 59+ was the best.  I strongly recommend the 59+.  You
can get one on Ebay for a very reasonable price.  Of course, Timewave does
have a newer filter, and you can get that if you don't mind paying the long
buck. It is likely to be better still.

IMHO I believe that a well-equipped (with optional filters) Corsair, with an
external DSP filter at audio frequencies (same as the 'audio' dsp IF filters
that operate at 14 k hz, in my view) operates in a manner to be competitive
with any of the newer stuff, except for the very top of the line rigs like
the
orion or VI plus.  Your mileage may vary.  :)
