[TenTec] Black Centurion----Black is Bad in Sevierville!!!

Hi Gang,
I told Ron, WD5FUN, that I would try to get some pictures up on my web-site
of the new black Ten Tec Centurion amplifier.  It is just like the old
Centurion, but it is just painted black.  See the old amp at:

The proud owner of the new amp is N6CHA, Bill, who checks in weekly on the
20m TT net.  I got to open the box, smell the new, install the tubes and
even make the first contact with it!  I will tell you up front that my
pictures do NOT do this amp justice!!  I took these under low light
conditions and I wasn't please with the results, but I hope however that you
can get an idea of what a the new black Centurions look like.  I made two
trips in vain before I was told by a good friend that I needed a external
natural night!  The new amp looks like a match for the Orion.  :-)

FYI, I do have a picture of the LED bar graph wattmeter going over to the
red LED and that is 1450 watts output with 100 watts of drive from the Omni
6 pulsing it with a keyer.  But Bill loafs it around 600 to 800 watts, so it
will last forever.  The picture just wasn't good enough to post to the web.

When I get better shots I will repost, but by then TT will probably have
their web-site updated with the cool new black look!

Now Bill needs to order a Orion to match the amp and get rid of the off
brand equipment in the background (not the Omni), hihi.

Bill I will even volunteer to unpack and setup the Orion for you just like I
did for the Centurion, it would be a very tough job, but someone has to do
the dirty work, :-)
