[TenTec] RE: Argo V low output? - SOLVED

First Paul called back and after a few minutes it became evident that remote
troubleshooting would likely not work this time (thanks for your efforts
Paul). So I was almost ready to wrap the Argo V up and send it south.
However, I had all those schematics and a scope so I thought I'd do a little
troubleshooting on my own.

It became evident that the waveform on the bands with low output was pretty
ugly and on 80 it wasn't all that good but not as bad as the others. A few
voltage checks and poof! Yes poof - I blew the 7.5 amp fuse be
inadvertently shorting VCC to ground. UGH!!

I replaced the fuse and surprise - all the problems went away. It looks
like I was getting enough of a voltage drop across the fuse to cause a
problem. Given that, it looks like a "battery booster" is in my future!

Anyway I'm back in business!
