Hi Bill,

Just figured out where you are talking about.

This talkbox is what they called a mouthtube, well known by guitarplayers.
The sound of the instrument is amplified and goes to a small loudspeaker.
Above this loudspeaker they fitted a plastic tube which you put into your
mouth.
This way you can produce this special sound just by opening your mouth.
Just remember the intro of Show me the way by Peter Frampton.
