Al,

While the powersupply/computer may not be FCC approved there are a couple of
simple things you can do that might help.       First you can try some of
the simple "snap" on chokes on the AC cord.  Many times the internal PS
noise is just not filtered enough.   Next you can get the computer
powersupply replaced.   Powersupplies are cheap, a good normal powersupply
should be in the $50 range, and many of the local stores (maybe CompUSA)
will install it for free.

But make sure that the noise is coming from the computer and not the
monitor, they have been known to generate a lot of noise also.
