Kevin I too have a very good old pair of 8 ohm headsets. First things first. I am sending the radio in to make sure it is working properly and all aligned. The squeala n screatch at low settings is annoying I have used a buffering set up that seems to work well in eliminating the problem Alan KB7MBI
