Ok,  which CW mode is correct on the bands?
Orion offers the choice of LCW or UCW;

Does not matter. No convention on LCW or UCW because no one can tell on the
other end. The benefit is that you can sometimes eliminate QRM by switching
to the other one. If you are exactly on the SPOT freq then the station you
are copying will not move - only the QRM. Try it. The "BIN-RX" is great
also. It helps in separating the QRM in your head. Don't forget the
diversity reception - big help in low band QSB.
