[TenTec]software defined radio, was "audio"

May I ask a dumb question? I am joining this thread late, so I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I just visited the Ten Tec web site and nowhere in the Orion pages does it say that the Orion is a "software-defined radio". Has it been characterized as such?
