emails on this reflector from people with problems with the revision.
Anyone can go back and see this; it is a fact. I believe with the last one,
there were a few people reporting poor tx audio problems whereas with the
previous version they reported tx audio was okay.

Interesting example because, in fact, that problem was in the
audio MONITOR,
not the audio itself. This is probably a good example for all since we need to
make sure the person reporting the "bug" is correct before jumping to
conclusions.
Once I saw the problem was in the Monitor, I decided to let it ride until
the next
revision fixed it. Many so-called "bugs" are actually operator error in
not following
directions to do a Master Reset or VFOB-LCK Reset. I even did something
similar in
reporting a problem with the Heil HC-4 causing distortion reports. Once I
read the
manual, I correctly set MIC and SP and got excellent audio reports.

Orion's entire .ruf file is ~650k which is less than the virus
updates I download daily. BTW, if you check that list you attached, they
are all:

1. The audio monitor problem (not actual transmitted audio)

11/14/03 Version 1.366
- Modified DSP init sequence to eliminate monitor/sidetone noise problem.

OR...

2. Operator error in following update instructions.
